Winnipeg Sun - The Manitoba Liberals nominated their candidate for Kildonan-River East on Monday night. Kathryn Braun will run in the riding, with a provincial vote now expected on Sept. 10. In a press release, she alleges the transformation of Winnipeg health facilities, that’s now closing emergency rooms and shifting health services between sites, is creating chaos in the health-care system. Braun said a family health crisis underlines the need for improvements. In January, Braun told media her father George Myer waited months for a biopsy to confirm cancer.
