Steinbach Online - A couple of Members of the Manitoba Legislature from southeastern Manitoba have been assigned some added government responsibilities. MLA Dennis SmookThe MLA for La Verendrye, Dennis Smook of Vita, has been named the Legislative Assistant to Ralph Eichler, the Minister of Economic Development and Training. Premier Brian Pallister has also appointed Smook to the Economic Growth Committee of Cabinet. Meanwhile, Dawson Trail MLA Bob Lagasse of Landmark has been appointed to the Poverty Reduction and Social Inclusion Committee of Cabinet.
