What key issues / topics will you stand for in your role as MLA, and why are these important to you?

Spruce Woods communities have suffered in the shadows of a Winnipeg-centric provincial government. Investment and even a basic understanding of our unique and individual needs have been lacking.

 

I believe it is the job of our MLA to work with and for the people of our riding to ensure their needs are heard and met in government. In order to do that we need to elect representatives with the experience and tenacity to stand up to the status quo and even their own party to do what’s right for our communities.

 

Every municipality in Spruce Woods is unique with diverse advantages and challenges. In order to grow the economy and address the community needs for health care, infrastructure, senior care, education, agriculture, and business, our MLA must work closely with all of the people they represent. This includes municipal councils, community organizations, and residents to develop plans that will meet their needs and advocate for them in the legislature.

 

I am an entrepreneur who has built multiple businesses in Spruce Woods since relocating here in 2005, a mom of 4 and have decades of leadership experience working across business, social services and education. I am in a unique position to work with and understand the diverse needs of our area and have a long history of standing up to ensure that the voices of the previously ignored are heard.

 

I look forward to representing Spruce Woods as your next MLA.
