What key issues / topics does your party stand for, and why are these important?

Affordability and helping Manitobans make ends meet. The NDP-Trudeau carbon tax is hurting families, as is the rising cost of living. That’s why we are committed to lowering income taxes and giving Manitobans an extra paycheque.

Community safety is also paramount. We are the only party committed to defending, not defunding the police.

We are working to heal our healthcare system and make our communities stronger.

What are the first things you will do if you form government after this election?

Within the first 10 days, we will instruct Manitoba Hydro to remove the carbon tax from Hydro bills.

We will continue our focus on healing our healthcare system and making streets safer.

We’re the only party with a plan and a vision to grow our economy.

CBC Manitoba - The Manitoba NDP have proven to be harsh markers over the PC government's record on health care. NDP MLA Lisa Naylor said recent health-care promises from the Stefanson government don't rewrite the party's record on health care. "Manitobans know that her promises today are just as empty as they were before and they know that the people who broke health care can't be trusted to fix it." The report card released by the NDP also gave the government a failing grade on more vague Tory promises which are tougher to evaluate. It said the Tories failed to build safe places for seniors because of a high number of cancelled home care visits and a decrease in the number of personal care home beds.
